INTRODUCTION
An outline planning application is being prepared on behalf of GLF Robinson & Partners for a community-led scheme for Teversham. At this early stage we are seeking the views of local residents to determine their preferences and needs for the village. This could include a village hall, new housing, new sports facilities or other such amenities.
Currently there are no solid plans in place. The insights gained from this process will form the basis of the proposal.
This public consultation website has been created to receive comments and views regarding use of the site.
SITE LOCATION
The site for the proposed development is a 5-hectare parcel of land to the east of Fulbourn Road, south of Teversham Recreation Ground, within the South Cambridgeshire District Council.

THE PROPOSALS
The opportunities and constraints plan for the proposed site shows an area with the capacity to provide a variety of new amenities for the village. These could include for example, new housing, a village hall, sports facilities and other amenities. We look forward to receiving the residents’ views on this.
Any development would include landscape enhancements, drainage attenuation and a new vehicular access
connecting from Fulbourn Road.
Constraints & Opportunities Plan
Context
The site comprises open fields and natural landscapes, providing a foundation for integrating green spaces. This will enhance the aesthetic appeal of any development and promote sustainability and biodiversity.
An initial analysis of the site has been undertaken, including assessments of transport links, drainage systems, flood risk, and ecological considerations to ensure sustainability and address potential concerns. Vehicular access from Fulbourn Road would minimise traffic impact and ensure safe connectivity. Furthermore, landscape enhancements would accompany any development and create green corridors and public open spaces to foster community well-being.
A housing needs survey of the village has already been undertaken to determine the types of houses local residents would like to see developed. There are currently no fixed plans for the site. We invite the local community to provide feedback regarding potential uses. It should be noted that any development aims to serve the residents of Teversham.
